Along with sparklers and fireworks, our days leading up to, and following, the 4th of July were spent baking zucchini bread, visiting Forsythe Wildlife Refuge, swimming all day, eating whipped cream right out of the can, and observing a cool beetle we found in the yard. And when the boys asked for watercolor paints, they decided to paint our empty beer bottles…we’re just over here killing it as parents!
