weaving

Aside from completing a nice piece of art, yarn weaving is also very relaxing and a great way to tune fine motor skills. There are many different techniques that you can use (and there are YouTube videos for many of these!), but since I teach elementary school and my own kids are still young, I’m just going to go over the most simple weaving technique.

What you will need:

  • Loom (or a piece of cardboard)

  • String (anything that is strong)

  • Yarn

  • Large plastic needle

  • Masking tape

  • Scissors
